Ortmann & Rittmann
Ortmann & Rittmann is a security company based in Heilbronn that needed a complete visual refresh. The goal was to move away from their outdated look and establish a strong, modern, and trustworthy brand presence. I developed a new identity system centered around reliability, premium service, and professional protection.The new logo is constructed from the initials O and R, embedded within a shield to symbolize strength, safety, and authority. The overall shape subtly references iconic emblems — giving it a recognizable, hero-like quality without losing its corporate seriousness.
Design Process & Visual Direction
The brand visuals were built around a gold–black and gold–grey color system to create a high-end, confident, and bold appearance. Gold communicates professionalism and premium value, while the dark tones bring stability and trust — essential for the security industry. Multiple logo variations were developed, including glossy versions with metallic depth, to adapt to different use-cases such as uniforms, signage, and digital media. Throughout the process, there was close coordination with the client to refine the shield symbol, typography, and overall visual tone to achieve a brand that feels secure, modern, and instantly recognizable.
Application & Rollout
The new identity was implemented across a range of practical touchpoints, including: • business cards • security uniforms (jackets, shirts, beanies) • vehicle decals • internal identification materials The result is a unified brand appearance that the entire team can wear proudly — visually strong, memorable, and clearly positioned in the security sector. The company now presents itself with confidence and a consistent, high-quality design language that reflects its professionalism and reliability.
